1. Bending or misalignment of the water pump shaft will cause the water pump to vibrate and cause heating or wear of the bearing.

2. Due to the increase of the axial thrust (for example, when the balance disc and the balance ring in the water pump are severely worn), the axial load on the bearing is increased, causing the bearing to heat up or even be damaged.

3. The amount of lubricating oil (grease) in the bearing is insufficient or excessive, the quality is poor, and there are debris, iron pins and other debris: The sliding bearing sometimes does not rotate due to the damage of the oil, and the bearing cannot be brought into the oil to cause the bearing to heat up.

4. The bearing matching clearance does not meet the requirements. For example, if the matching between the bearing inner ring and the water pump shaft, the bearing outer ring and the bearing body is too loose or too tight, it can cause the bearing to heat up.

5. The static balance of the water pump rotor is not good. The radial force of the water pump rotor increases and the bearing load increases, causing the bearing to heat up.

6. Vibration of the water pump when it is operating under non-design point conditions will also cause the water pump bearing to heat up.

7. The bearing has been damaged, which is often a common cause of bearing heating. For example, the fixed roller bearing remains damaged, the steel ball crushes the inner ring or the outer ring breaks; the alloy layer of the sliding bearing peels off and falls off. In this case, the sound at the bearing is abnormal and the noise is loud, so the bearing should be disassembled for inspection and replaced in time.

Precautions against excessively high water pump bearing temperature:

1. Pay attention to the installation quality.
2. Strengthen maintenance.
3. Bearings should be selected according to relevant data.
